Ramie yarn packing impregnated with PTFE type ERP
The packing is braided of natural ramie yarn (Boehmeria nivea) and saturated in the process of braiding, thread by thread with special impregnant on the basis of PTFE. This impregnant performs two basic functions: it reduces friction coefficient and increases chemical resistance of the packing. The ramie fibre as compared to cotton is characterized by a much higher mechanical strength and durability.
Application
This packing has comprehensive application. It is recommended in chokes of pumps and fittings in all industry branches, as well as in municipal management. It may work in contact with water, oils, fuels, greases and solvents. It is also resistant to water solutions of salt, weak acids and alkali.
